Prior to joining Philips in 2005, he was the European Marketing Manager at HP's Commercial Printing Division and also worked for six years as the Marketing Manager at ASML, a manufacturer of chip making equipment based in Silicon Valley. Basile graduated from UC Berkeley in Business Administration and Marketing.
