Lexington, Mass., December 2, 2004 – e-Dialog, the precision e-mail marketing innovator, today announced that Rick Buck, the company’s director of privacy and ISP relations, has been appointed to The Direct Marketing Association (The DMA) Ethics Policy Committee. The DMA Ethics Policy Committee is responsible for keeping the association’s self-regulatory industry guidelines timely, specific and meaningful in relation to technology and industry changes, new federal rules and regulations, and The DMA’s stated ethics objectives.
“We are so pleased to have Rick join us in our continual review and updating of The DMA's Guidelines for Ethical Business Practice,” said Harriet Heyman, DMA Ethics Policy Committee chairperson. “I have known and worked with Rick for more than 10 years and know his knowledge, experience in direct marketing, and passion to do the right thing will be a great asset to The DMA Ethics Policy Committee.”
The DMA Ethics Policy Committee consists of 11 executives from DMA member firms. New members are elected by existing Committee members and approved by The DMA Board of Directors. Over the past several years, the Committee has devoted its efforts to developing a greater understanding of privacy as it relates to the use of personal information for ethical business practices.
