Job Description
The Software Engineer will work as part of a team responsible for developing applications and tools to optimize on-line marketing campaigns and seamlessly integrate with our client's systems.
Responsibilities
Work as part of a team of Java Programmers to design, develop and implement highly scalable and reliable enterprise n-tier distributed applications using Java, Oracle, Perl and other technologies. You will work on enhancing our existing applications and designing and developing new applications with attention towards simplicity, efficiency and supportability. Additionally, you will also be responsible for converting written or verbal requirements into design and technical specifications, documenting the applications and being able to educate users and support specialists on effective use of the applications.
Skills:
- BS/BA in Computer Science or related discipline
- 3-5 years of experience developing in Java and J2EE (JSP, Servlets) on UNIX, Linux, and/or Windows
- Experience using relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server or MySQL).
- Strong understanding of Internet and email architecture
- Experience using Web Servers (Apache) and J2EE Application Servers (Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss).
- Experience with XML and Web Services.
- Knowledge of ColdFusion helpful.
- Experience with full development life cycle and integrating disparate systems in an Internet environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
